Rabbit sits on the very top of the falls, looking down at the water at the very bottom. No, she's not a suicidal freak that plans on jumping, she's just trying to..think. She hates civilian life, and wishes every moment that she hadn't re-enlisted. Not that she doesn't like her new job..it's just that, there haven't been any new cases coming into the station, so it's not all that fun and exciting yet. And, besides that, she keeps getting the feeling that she'll die single. Of course, she was never exactly an optimist, but this could be true: even earlier, she'd met a guy, and he left suddenly.
Rabbit sighs softly and brings her knees up to her chest, arms wrapped around her legs, with her chin resting on her left knee. She watches the water thoughtfully, deciding she'll swim later, once she's done..thinknig.

One foot in front of the other.One step at a time.Motto's to live by in his situation,where the pain from the past that mixed with the uncertainty of the future turned his blood cold.The path was well worn against his sneaker clad feet,hitting the dirt collecting a slap of satisfaction with each forward thrust of his tall,lengthy pillars.Breath came in angry short bursts,though seemed calm and regular unless one was listening closely.No one ever was.The hollow pain filled his chest and slowly,steadily expanded,pulling his heart to pieces with each rise and fall of his strong chest.
Cold distant pools gazed listlessly out upon the world,gaze cursing the shadows,welcoming the unseen darkness.The sun was harsh,though he somewhat feared the dark,he wasn`t to fond of the light either.Why spread warmth when the rest of the world was freezing in the icy chambers of their souls.Or maybe it was just him.Intimidating he may look ,it wasn`t how he wanted to. He feared everyone .Everything. Regection,fear itself,love,hate,acceptance.He feared it all.But he never showed it,you`d have to break his heart and beg for forgiveness that he wouldn`t give, to see his fear.
He liked the outdoors,yet he hated it.It was so open,secrets floating about hidden beneath your footsteps,and you couldn`t see them but you knew they were there.He could sense them,tugging at his soul and dragging him down,yet still he did not seem to be moving.He needs a hero,he`ll never find one.Of that he`s sure.He`s chilled despite the sun,despite his collared shirt and faded but crisp denim jeans,he`s cold.He`s always cold.The trees create shadows upon the ground that almost make him cringe.And throughout it all,his stoic expression remains tied firmly to his features,creating a wall that no power,nor source could get through.His facade would never come down,it could not.It would not.He could not let it.
Shading his eyes with the curve of his hand,he looked up at the cliff that threatened a climb if he wished to get to the top.Heaving a heavy sigh,he started up,cursing his inability to stay on flat ground.He picked his holds carefully,and when he got to the top he was out of breath.He cursed under his breath.He was not alone.

She doesn't notice--desptie being taught through many years of the Marines, she doesn't pay that much attention to her surrounding, to details, unless she's really interested. And nothing much captures her attention long enough for her to become interested. Not only because of her ADHD, but because people are stupid and not really all that interesting. Rabbit yawns a little, still watching the water. Not like the water's all that interesting weither...but it does make her think, more philosophically than she normally would, about the symbolic meanings of water, trees, other things in nature, as well as shapes, colors.. Cerulean eyes sweep over to the man climbing..Who the fuck is he? Well, if there's one thnig she actually remembers, is do not speak unless spoken to. Which is precisely what she plans on doing.

He isn`t fully over the top yet,halfway up,his arms bracing him on the ground.He eyes her warily,his pools narrowing as she looks to him.Averting his gaze,he climbs the rest of the way up,cautiously maneuvering around her,without looking at her of course.He finds a log a good few feet away and sits down,murky brown tinged with green gaze fixed on the water.The log is hard and uncomfortable,shit,he hates nature most of the time.

Rabbit sighs. Is she really that bad that people go out of their ways to avoid her? She's always thought of herself in a bad way, never really had the highest self esteem, even though her father tried his best to make her feel good about herself. She glances over her shoulder at the man, but quickly looks back at the water. Then she stands, dusts off her pants, and climbs down the edge of the cliff, going down to a ledge closer to the water itself. once there, she pulls her shirt off over her head, revealing a red bikini top, then pulls down her pants to reveal a matching bottom. She folds the clothes neatly on the ledge, takes a few steps back, then runs to the very end of the ledge and dives off.

He squints briefly,watching as she disappears over the edge.With a slight grumble to himself,he sits back on the log,trying to forget the girl was ever there.When he heard the splash,he could not help but jump up and peek over the edge of the cliff.Eyebrows raised,he watches,wondering why anyone in their right mind would be swimming.Of course,he was just being his bitter self,and taking it out on someone else seemed to help alleviate the pain that his memories brought.But not that much.He eases himself back down onto his log,and stares moodily into the water,unsure why he`s being such a jackass,even in his own mind.

She resurfaces soon after. She'd forgotten about the strange man almost instantly--she tends not to take notice of people like him, unless she's on the lookout for a perp. Then she notices everybody. But she's not looking for the aforementioned perp, and is therefore less aware of her surroundings. She swims to the shore, and lays aross the sand by the water. She's never really been one to tan--she burns too easily, and hasn't put on sunscreen today--but has decided she's just too pale..Besides, a couple minutes won't hurt, will it?
